About Keanoush Amirizadeh
Coach Keanoush Amirizadeh began training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) in 2015 when he was introduced to the sport by co-founder Carlmichael Leiva. What began as a competitive hobby quickly evolved into a deep interest in how elite grapplers develop skill and solve problems under pressure.
After beginning his training in the gi at a Fight Sports affiliate academy, Keanoush transitioned primarily to no-gi jiu jitsu, training under 4x ADCC veteran Enrico Cocco at Zen Jiu Jitsu for several years. Alongside Carlmichael, Keanoush has spent years studying elite grapplers, coaching methodologies, and skill acquisition principles to help build Ground Game Theory's modern training approach.
Drawing from both his grappling experience and professional background as a senior software developer, Keanoush brings a highly analytical and systems-oriented perspective to coaching and practice design.
Today, Keanoush is known for his technical attention to detail, analytical coaching style, and commitment to helping students improve efficiently in a challenging but supportive training environment.
He combines technical expertise with practical training approaches, focused on developing a new generation of skilled and strategic grapplers.
