Ground Game Theory is thrilled to announce its second official No-Gi Jiu Jitsu competition, featuring a 6-man, submission-only, 165 lb intermediate (blue & purple) lightweight round robin bracket and several exciting superfights.
Each edition is built around a six-competitor, submission-only round-robin bracket. Everybody fights everybody in timed matches, only a submission counts, and the competitor with the most submissions at the end wins. Ties go to whoever finished their submission wins in the least total match time. Past brackets have run at 165 lb and 185 lb for intermediate blue and purple belts, and at open weight for the absolutes.
Superfights round out each card, and the events have been staged inside larger Miami fitness festivals and expos, from Wodapalooza at Bayfront Park to the Miami International Fitness Expo. Competitors gain match experience, media coverage, and a claim to the weight class until the next edition; the rest of us get an afternoon of no-gi jiu jitsu decided by finishes. Details, rules, and results for every edition are on the event pages above.
