One road, most of the way
Tamiami is bordered on the east by Sweetwater and Westchester, which puts the academy just past the far edge of the neighborhood. Coral Way east is the simplest route, passing Tamiami Park and the Fair Expo Center on the way to SW 97th Avenue. SW 8th Street east then south works equally well if you are starting from the north end.
Why every class here is no-gi
The whole program is no-gi. Gi academies teach grips and control built around fabric that is not there in wrestling, MMA, or a real scramble. Training without it from day one means the mechanics you learn are the ones that hold up when there is nothing to hold on to.
Worth the drive rather than the nearest option
Most people in this part of Miami-Dade have a gi academy closer to home. What is harder to find west of the Palmetto is a room that trains no-gi every single day, with a foundations track for beginners and coaches who build around live problem-solving rather than memorized sequences.

The first week is free and there is no gi to buy. Weekend open mat is free and open to visitors if you would rather watch a session before signing up for anything.
